For the third year in a row, Northern Rivers Food (NRF) will be exhibiting at this years Good Food & Wine show. As usual they will bring with them several of their members – food growers and producers from the Northern Rivers Region – who will showcase and sell their wares at the NRF exhibit. This year two of those members will be introducing exciting new products to the city market, with something to suit both ends of our shortening winter days.

For breakfast Brookfarm (who are best known for their award winning macadamia muesli) will be introducing their exciting new range of Gourmet Porrij’s, which have been created with the same focus on health and taste as the rest of the Brookfarm range.
According to Pam Brook creator of the Power Porrij & Gluten Free Porriij, ‘We wanted to take porridge to a new level. My challenge was to create a nutritious great tasting porrij that is more that just oats and that, in turn sustains a healthy active lifestyle.’
Byron Bay brewers, Stone & Wood, will also be joining the NRF exhibit and inviting you to top off your day by trying their recently launched Jasper Ale, the perfect winter beer.

‘Brewing big winter beers is something that we really don’t need to do a lot of up here because it just doesn’t get that cold, but we have always wanted to brew a beer that would be more suited to the cooler months.’ Said brewery co-founder Jamie Cook. ‘Our Jasper Ale is brewed from a blend of pale and crystal malts. It is deep red, has a rich malt character and is well balanced with a firm, spicy hop bitterness.’ Jamie added.

Also contributing to the NRF exhibit this year will be Bush Food Sensations – artisan bushfoods and cooking demonstrations, Nicholson Fine Foods – innovative food products for professional chefs and home cooks, Salumi – artisan smallgoods, Nimbin Valley Dairy and Ballina Seafood Fishing Cooperative.Celebrated indigenous chef Clayton Donavan will be cooking up a storm over the three-day event, bringing his unique North Coast style ‘with an indigenous twist’ to Sydney audiences.
